Glowboard: LED Banner Scroller

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 11 October 2026 · Last updated: 11 October 2026

This privacy policy explains how NAX Tech (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in the Android app Glowboard: LED Banner Scroller (the “App”). We built the App to work offline and to keep what you create on your device.

In short

  • We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email or contacts.
  • Your messages, banners, settings and chosen photos are stored only on your device.
  • The microphone is used only when you turn on Beat sync. Sound is analysed on your device in real time and is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
  • Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect device information such as the advertising ID to show and measure ads.
  • Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.

1. Information stored on your device

The following stays on your device and is not transmitted to us:

  • Text you type, saved banners, favorites, playlists, templates you edit and app settings.
  • Photos or GIFs you choose as a background. The App reads only the files you pick through the Android system picker. It does not scan your gallery.
  • Multi-phone sign setup. The QR code holds only the message, style and slot number, and is read directly by the other phone’s camera.
  • Videos, GIFs and images you export. These are saved to your device’s gallery, and you choose whether to share them.

Uninstalling the App or clearing its data in Android settings deletes this information permanently.

2. Permissions

Permission Why it is used When
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) To detect the rhythm of music for Beat sync. Audio is processed in memory on your device and discarded immediately. It is not recorded, stored or transmitted. Only after you turn on Beat sync and grant permission. You can revoke it at any time in Android settings.
Camera To scan a friend’s QR code when joining a multi-phone sign. No images are stored or sent. Only when you choose to scan a code.
Photos and media (system picker) To use a picture or GIF you select as a banner background, and to save exports to your gallery. Only for the files you choose.
Internet and network state To load ads and to process optional in-app purchases. The App’s core features work without internet. When ads are shown or a purchase is made.
Advertising ID (AD_ID) Used by Google AdMob for advertising and analytics, as described in section 3. When ads are shown.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App shows banner and rewarded ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To deliver, measure and limit the frequency of ads, and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and process information such as:

  • Device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID
  • IP address, which may be used to estimate general location (country or city)
  • Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language and app version
  • Ad interaction and performance data, such as ad impressions and clicks
  • Diagnostic information, such as crash logs related to the ads SDK

This data is collected and processed by Google under its own policies, not stored by us. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your ad choices

  • Personalised ads: you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your device settings (Settings › Google › Ads, or Settings › Privacy › Ads, depending on your device).
  • EEA, UK and Switzerland: before personalised ads are shown, the App asks for your consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform. You can change your choice at any time from the App’s Settings › Privacy choices.
  • United States: where state privacy laws apply, such as in California, you can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising from Settings › Privacy choices. We use Google’s restricted data processing where required.
  • Glowboard Pro removes ads entirely.

4. In-app purchases

Glowboard Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase is valid, which lets the App unlock Pro features. We do not receive or store your card number, billing address or other payment information. See the Google Payments Privacy Notice.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not operate servers that receive your messages or banners.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use your microphone, camera or photos for any purpose other than the features described above.
  • We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services of our own in the App. If this changes, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.

6. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will help remove it.

7. Data security and retention

Content you create is kept in the App’s private storage on your device, protected by Android’s app sandbox, until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data collected by Google for ads is kept according to Google’s retention policies.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) or US state privacy laws, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for its processing. Because we do not hold your personal data on our servers, most requests can be handled directly on your device by deleting content, clearing app data or changing your ad settings. For data processed by Google, you can use Google’s privacy controls. You may also contact us at the address below, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App changes or when laws require it. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the App’s release notes.
