Overview

Mic to BT Speaker is a streaming microphone app that sends
your voice from your phone’s microphone to a Bluetooth speaker paired with
your device. It is designed around the principle of data
minimisation: no account is required, no personal information is
collected, and no voice data is ever uploaded to our servers — because we
do not operate any servers that process user audio.

Data the app accesses

1. Microphone

• The app captures audio from the device microphone only while
  you have explicitly started streaming (by tapping the mic
  button).
• Captured audio is routed through an on-device audio pipeline and
  output to the currently selected Bluetooth audio device.
• No audio is ever transmitted to NAX Technology or any third
  party. Streaming happens on-device and out through Bluetooth
  only.
• Recording functionality is not included. The app does not save audio
  to storage or transmit it.

2. Bluetooth

• The app needs Bluetooth permission to detect the currently connected
  audio output, route audio to it, and (optionally) query battery level
  of the paired speaker.
• The app does not scan for, connect to, or transmit data over
  Bluetooth to unrelated devices.

3. Storage (read-only, optional)

• Only triggered when you tap the Background Music / file-picker
  button.
• The system file picker returns a file path that the app uses to play
  the selected audio file in the background mix.
• The app does not scan, index, or transmit your file library.

4. Locally stored preferences

• Selected app language
• Onboarding completion flag
• Gain / noise suppression / echo cancellation last-used values

These are stored in Android’s SharedPreferences on your
device, never uploaded, and removed when the app is uninstalled.

Advertising

The app displays ads served by Google AdMob to support
continued free distribution. Google AdMob may collect and use data in
accordance with Google’s policies:

• Advertising ID (resettable from your Android settings)
• IP address, device type, language, timezone, screen size
• Ad impression / click events

NAX Technology does not receive this data directly. See
Google’s Privacy Policy
for details. You can manage or opt out of personalised ads via
Google Ad Settings.

Data we do not collect

• Your name, email, phone number, or any identifier
• Voice recordings or transcripts of what you speak into the mic
• Location (the app does not request location permission)
• Contact lists, calendar, or photo library
• Behavioural analytics on how you use the app
• Any cookies, web tracking, or cross-app fingerprints

Your rights

Because we store no personal data on our side, you fully control your data:

• Revoke microphone permission anytime in Android Settings → Apps →
  Mic to BT Speaker → Permissions
• Revoke Bluetooth permission via the same settings screen
• Clear all local app data via Settings → Apps → Storage → Clear data
• Uninstall the app to remove all local data
• Reset your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly
collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have
inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

Changes to this policy

Any updates to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised
“last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted prominently in
the app release notes. Please review the policy periodically.
